Weddings are full of traditions that make them heartfelt and fun.
Most couples ceremonies include a symbolic act of sealing the union such as the exchange of wedding rings, or sharing a first kiss as newlyweds.

There are many more ways to personalise your ceremony and represent your hopes for the future, and there will be one that resonates with you.
Some are ancient - like jumping the broomstick, hand tying ('tying the knot') or the elemental ritual of hand fasting, or perhaps sharing a drink in a loving cup or Celtic quaich.
Some are modern - such as mixing a cocktail lighting, creating a time capsule, warming the rings with guest's wishes, lighting a unity candle, sand pouring, and tree planting.
The latter three are also lovely in naming ceremonies, as your family and guests can be involved in the ritual.
