Everything you need to know about choosing your celebrant
QUALITY NOT QUANTITY
Personalised Ceremonies
Each person is unique, and deserves a service that honours that individuality.
No two funeral services should be the same; each should be designed afresh for the individual.
My passion is for creating unique, bespoke ceremonies of exceptional quality.
Quality takes time.
Your ceremony will be given the time it deserves to craft it perfectly and to ensure the highest standards - always with a caring, personal touch.
This means I strictly limit the number of ceremonies I conduct each week, so I can give you, and it, my full attention, and create the very best service to honour your loved one. Bespoke celebrants rarely conduct more than 3 services a week, due to the time, thought, and care that goes into custom ceremonies.
Choose this high calibre celebrancy service from a trained professional, to be assured that you will receive a truly personalised, warm ceremony, that will create cherished memories that will remain with you long after the day.
Fees & Areas Served
The fees charged are set fairly, and reviewed annually, using the standard published parochial fees charged by ministers as a guide.
For such an outstanding, personal, bespoke service, professionally written and delivered, and also including the unique complimentary keepsake pack, this represents excellent value.
It's usually not much more than unqualified celebrants who offer only a basic 'template script' service.
The standard 'at need' fee covers funerals within North East Lincolnshire
at Grimsby crematorium, and surrounding cemeteries, with family meetings held in the local area
(Cleethorpes, Humberston, Waltham, Laceby, Immingham, plus Tetney and North Thoresby).
The fee for ceremonies in surrounding areas (or for other types of service), is a little higher to reflect the extra travel and time.
The region served is that within by the area bounded by the crematoria & cemeteries in
Grimsby, Hull, Scunthorpe, and Alford.
At your request I can travel further afield, subject to availability, and with standard travel costs.
To save you further expense, long-distance ceremonies would be planned via email and telephone or video call rather than in a face-to-face meeting.

What qualities should guide the choice of your celebrant?
At the bottom of the page is a document you can download to use when choosing your celebrant,
so you know what questions to ask. Here's a brief guide to help.
A CHECKLIST - A GOOD CELEBRANT SHOULD BE:
- Sensitive & Skilled
- Empathy, compassion and flexibility - to guide you through your choices at this difficult time.
- Professional writing skills - to create a tribute that is warm, accurate and comforting.
- Public speaking skills and presence - to ensure your service is delivered smoothly, clearly, and with dignity.
- Professional, with High Standards
As a rough rule of thumb, professional, qualified celebrants will have an online presence e.g. they may be featured on a celebrant body page, have a website or business social media page with testimonials and logos, be traceable on Google, or be listed on an independent guide such as funeralcelebrants.org.uk/
